Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a volunteer movement of thousands of Christians in hundreds of locations who are seeking to make Christ known in word and deed. There are many ways you can get involved with YWAM Matamata - from part-time volunteer work or full-time staff commitments to praying for us or supporting us financially.
Most people first get involved with YWAM by doing a short-term outreach or a DTS, but if you are over 18 you can apply to join as a Mission Builder (short-term volunteer who hasn't done a DTS) or staff member.
Most people in YWAM need partners in order to do their ministry, depending on God to motivate people to help provide financial support for their work and ministry. If you would like to support a particular YWAM staff member or family or if you wish to contribute financially to Family Ministries, please visit this page.

Volunteer/Mission Builder
Since the beginning of our ministry, Mission Builders have worked in a wide variety of skilled and unskilled jobs, contributing to our ongoing ministry and getting the chance to be a part of our YWAM community; working alongside staff and students, who are enormously grateful for them. If you have a small amount of time and wish to try something new, consider volunteering as a Mission Builder with us. You don't need to have completed a Discipleship Training School. You can serve for up to 6 months in any area of need. If that sounds like something you would like to do contact us.
Staff Positions
Being on staff with YWAM is an adventure in faith! YWAM does not pay a salary to any of its staff. In fact our full time staff pay monthly staff fees to cover food and board. Most staff meet their financial needs by partnering with friends and churches who support their ministry. In some areas, our staff work in other businesses for financial, practical or ministry reasons. To join YWAM staff you first need to complete a Discipleship Training School (DTS) or Crossroads DTS with some exceptions on a case by case basis
