GOING DEEPER WITH GOD AS A FAMILY

Family DTS is a very transformational time for you and your family. It's a time of restoring and equipping you to go out and greater Gods Kingdom as a FAMILY!

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you" - Matthew 6:33

What is a Discipleship Training School?

DTS stands for Discipleship Training School. It's a foundational school offered by Youth With A Mission (YWAM). We call the DTS the gateway into the mission. The DTS is designed to help participants deepen their faith, grow spiritually, and prepare for missions or ministry work. It is a transformational school that will strengthen their relationship with God and others.

Be discipled to disciple others, to change families, communities and nations.

The school is a live learn environment and lasts around 5 to 6 months and is divided into two main phases:

  1. Lecture Phase: This is the first part of the DTS, where students attend classes and workshops on topics like the Nature & Character of God, Biblical Worldview, Lordship of Christ, Healthy Relationships, discerning Gods voice, Holy Spirit and many more.  It often involves lectures from experienced speakers, group discussions, and various activities aimed at building a strong spiritual foundation.

  2. Outreach Phase: In the second part, students apply what they've learned through practical outreach. This usually involves traveling to another country or region to engage in mission work, community service, and evangelism. The goal is to put the teachings into practice and serve others in real-world settings.

Some of Topics we Cover

  • The Father Heart of God

  • Hearing Gods Voice

  • Lordship of Christ

  • Evangelism

  • The Word

What does OUTREACH look like?

Outreach phase is a wonderful opportunity to go into all the world and serve God in the Nations. Each outreach varies with what you may be doing on the ground there. Our outreach locations are mainly in NZ, the Pacific and Asia

We have 2 main focus points for DTS outreach

  1. Evangelism - Sharing your testimony, sharing the gospel, praying for people, performing arts, children and youth ministry etc.

  2. Mercy Ministry - Taking care of the needs of the people, feeding the hungry, working with the homeless, medical aide, orphanages, building projects, prison ministry etc.

Outreach is for you to see just how God can use you and your family to minister to the amazing people you will meet through evangelism and mercy ministry. To be a blessing to God and others, to give you an opportunity to use your talents and gifting's for the Kingdom of God.
